How Can I Apply for Additional Payments to My Funding?
Would you like to apply for additional payments to your funding, such as a German language course or child allowance? Here you will find all the information you need to submit the various applications.

Requirements
- The status of your initial funding or your extension is set to Funding.
- In some cases, you can apply for additional payments in the status After end of funding.
- Your funding programme is eligible for additional payments.
Application Procedure
Additional Payment Types
The types of Additional Payments you see depend on the respective funding programme. You can download several different forms, for example:
- Application Subsidy German Course
- Application Subsidy German Course Partners
- Application Child Allowance
- Application Rent Subsidy
- Application Rent Deposit
- Application Accommodation Allowance
- Application Fees German Language Test
- Application Reimbursement of administrative Fees
- Application Rent Deposit
- Application Approval to work part-time
- Application Partner Allowance
- Etc.
Information Regarding Additional Payments
Additionally, you can download info sheets for some subsidies. For example, there is an info sheet for the Learning German subsidy as well as for the Rent Subsidy.
- To download the info sheet for Learning German, click on Info Sheet Information on Learning German.
- To start the actual download, click on the blue link Download Info Sheet Information on Learning German.
Downloading the Application Form
- To download the application forms, click on the respective selection, for example Application Child Allowance.
- A new window will open where you can download the relevant form. Please fill it in offline.
- To download the application form, click on the blue download link, i.e. Download form Application Child Allowance.
Submitting the Application
After you have downloaded, filled in and saved the application form as a PDF file, you can upload the document in two different ways.
- You can upload the document via the Upload button.
- Or you can upload the document by dragging it from your computer and dropping it into the Upload field.
Important:
Your document must be uploaded in PDF format in order to be processed in our system. Most current office packages offer the function to save files in PDF format. Additionally, there is a wide range of free software that offers this function.
Please make sure the PDF files you upload are not encrypted and do not have any commenting restrictions. Such files cannot be processed in our system and we would have to ask for the document to be resubmitted.
- Please make sure to give the document a self-explanatory name so that it will be recognisable for our internal proceedings.
- After you have uploaded the document, you will receive a corresponding notification.
- If you want to remove the document from the list, click on the Ⓧ symbol to the right of the uploaded document.
- Click on the Send documents button to submit the application for Child Allowance.
- You will now receive a notification confirming the successful submission of the document.
- A few minutes later, you will receive an email informing you that there is a new message in your portal account. This message is a further confirmation that your document has been submitted successfully. A copy of the application documents is attached on the right-hand side of this message.
The messaging area is located in the Application and Funding Overview.
- To read the message, select the relevant funding programme or extension.
- The selected programme or extension will be displayed in blue text with a blue square on the left-hand side.
- The messages are listed below the Information on your applications and funding under Messages regarding application / funding.
- To read the message, click on the arrowhead symbol ˃ to the left of the Subject.
- Your uploaded document will be attached on the right-hand side of the message.
