First of all, you should check whether you already have a DAAD ID. This is the case if, for example, you have used the DAAD portal to apply for or manage a funding. You can use the following function to check whether a DAAD ID exists for your email address: Check now

If you have a DAAD ID, you should always use it to log in to Moodle, especially if you are a “DAAD-Lektor” (see also further helping step), and reset your password if your login attempts are unsuccessful: Set new password

If you do not have a DAAD ID, you should create a new DAAD ID. Ideally, you should use the same email address that you have previously used on the Moodle platform when registering, as this will save you the step of manually linking to your previous user profile: Register now.
